ASUS Announces Its First Liquid-Cooled GeForce RTX 4090 GPU With ROG STRIX LC AIO

ASUS has finally released its very first ROG STRIX LC GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card that comes equipped with an AIO cooling solution.

Since launch, there have been two versions of ASUS’ GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards: the ROG STRIX and the TUF Gaming. However, this week saw the introduction of a third option, the TUF OG, and the first-ever liquid-cooled variant of the RTX 4090, the ROG STRIX LC.

ASUS’ new GeForce RTX 4090 ROG STRIX LC graphics card shares the same design and cooling solution as the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti ROG STRIX LC. The only difference between the two cards is the GPU they use. According to the manufacturer, they have used the same pump, radiator, and fans that were used for the previous model to keep the GeForce RTX 4090 cool and under control.

The card’s heatsink uses a full-coverage cold plate that covers both the AD102 GPU and the GDDR6X memory chips, while the blower-style cooler ensures that the VRM stays stable.

ASUS GeForce RTX 4090 ROG STRIX LC graphics card comes with a 240mm AIO cooling solution that features 560mm long tubing and a 2.6-slot design. The radiator is equipped with two 12mm ARGB fans that deliver high airflow and static pressure to ensure maximum performance while keeping noise levels low. The cable management is simple and well-hidden, so you won’t have to worry about tidying them up yourself. Additionally, there are two PWM headers that you can connect to the card.

ASUS will release both factory overclocked and standard versions of the new ROG STRIX LC graphics cards. The standard model has boost clocks of 2520 MHz (Default) and 2550 MHz (OC), while the OC 4090 has boost clocks of 2610 MHz (Default) and 2640 MHz (OC). The pricing and availability details haven’t been disclosed yet, but the ROG STRIX 4090 OC is currently priced at $2000 US, so the liquid-cooled variant is expected to come with a much higher premium.
